Synopsis

The chapter opens with court officials discussing Grand Prince Jinseong's recent shift in demeanor, from fearful to seemingly fearless, prompting the king to assign him a teacher. They choose Lee Janggon, a famous scholar. Lee Janggon is surprised to be appointed a royal tutor and wonders how passionate the prince will be about studies. Upon meeting the Grand Prince, Lee Janggon finds the Prince is oddly willing to return to the basics, asking to relearn the Thousand Character Classic.
