Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist using a "Token of Heresy" that causes the surrounding dead energy to react, leading them toward the Forest of Death instead of the Lake of Oblivion. They encounter strange mental magic and a warped environment, leading to an updated map revealing they are at the Lake of Oblivion. The protagonist is then confronted by a powerful heretic, while a separate character is also tracking the protagonist, driven by revenge. Finally, the protagonist becomes disoriented by the changing environment and discovers their minimap is not functioning.
