Synopsis

The chapter begins with some discussion about past events and concerns for a friend, before transitioning into a surprise attack by an unusually large flock of harpies. The protagonist observes the harpies are empowered by strong mana, concluding there is a boss monster coordinating them. Despite the danger, one character confidently insists on handling the harpies and the boss alone, while requesting the rest of the group to stay behind and guard their base. The character shows concern for his teammates in a roundabout way while also expressing confidence in his ability to handle things solo.
