Synopsis

The chapter opens with a martial arts raider lamenting his career struggles in a world where mages are preferred. He accepts a job from an agency to act as a shield in a dungeon raid, despite its dangers. During the raid, he experiences a strange phenomenon involving an unknown light and voice, which causes him to momentarily zone out. The chapter also provides flashbacks revealing how he chose martial arts over magic despite having great potential for the latter, and he now regrets his past choices.
