Synopsis

This chapter delves into Corin's backstory, revealing her master taught her rune magic, a nearly lost art, and tried to bestow a powerful original rune to her before passing. Corin obtains a familiar named Deokgu through a blood bond and gains an aura core from eating a white silver mandrake, significantly boosting her abilities. We also see that Corin's combat prowess is far above her peers as the faculty are having trouble understanding why she's a fifth-rank knight when she is a first-year student. The chapter concludes with the start of group projects, focusing on spear techniques, and some chaotic mandrake harvesting.
