Synopsis

The chapter begins with the protagonist, seemingly a skilled swordsman, receiving an unusual mission directly from the patriarch. This mission involves investigating an incident where a criminal was found dead after summoning a demon, which leads to suspicion about the true circumstances. The protagonist, after having been in the field, then inadvertently absorbs the demon's power upon touching its remains, granting him increased stats and new abilities. This event is then interpreted as the protagonist needing to grow stronger to unlock his lost memories as well.
