Synopsis

The chapter reveals Gu Changge's cruel intentions as he confirms the truth of Ziyang's accusations, tortures Ziyang for information, and plots against the Zi family. He is shown to be completely ruthless and manipulative, using others to his advantage. He also has a revealing conversation with Aunt Qing, who acknowledges his change to be more 'human' but still as vicious. The chapter ends with a discussion about the Reincarnation Lake water and a somewhat comedic interlude with Xian'er.
