Synopsis

The chapter opens with a heated confrontation where Gu Changge is accused of protecting a demonic arts inheritor. He cleverly defuses the situation by presenting himself as a mediator, gaining the trust of Princess Ying Yu. While projecting an image of innocence and concern, he secretly plots against the true inheritor of demonic arts, and learns of another inheritor. Meanwhile he has a vivid and unsettling flashback to a past encounter with a "crimson dressed demoness" and bandits which leaves him questioning the authenticity of the vision, further adding to his complex character.
