Synopsis

This chapter details Ergo's descent into black magic due to his envy and lack of perceived talent, leading him to become the ruler of a human farm within the Forest of Roots. Ergo's power is tied to the suffering he inflicts. A newcomer arrives, seeking information on escaping the forest and directly challenging Ergo. The protagonist learns of a theoretical escape method from an old book, involving a perilous waterfall with weakened divine power, hinting at a dangerous journey.
