Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist and his companions being attacked by a group of mercenaries hired by an unknown party. The protagonist demonstrates overwhelming combat prowess, quickly dispatching the attackers. Afterwards, instead of seeking help from the authorities, he plans to interrogate them. He ultimately convinces a reluctant magic user to heal a companion by offering something in return.
