Synopsis

After a perilous journey where they were nearly put in danger, a group reaches the Academy. They express deep gratitude to a mercenary who helped them, particularly as his immunity to a sleep-inducing magic made him a valuable ally. The mercenary, refusing payment beyond his wages, inquires about and seeks out Ethan Kudrow, a swordsmanship instructor, at the Academy, revealing his purpose there.
