Synopsis

The chapter opens with the aftermath of a demonic beast attack, revealing the client's betrayal and the mercenary corps's survival. They reluctantly agree to continue the delivery for a reduced price, heading towards Antiol, a mage whose power rivals even the Temple. The client reveals that the Temple, a powerful organization that controls much of the world, seeks to suppress mages, and they are secretly delivering an item for a mage, a dangerous task due to the Temple's influence. The group finally escapes the demonic beast territory and makes camp for the night, where the mercenaries express their gratitude to the mysterious swordsman for saving them.
