Synopsis

The chapter begins with the collapse of a watchtower, signaling the start of a rescue operation. A new character appears, covered in blood and determined to save the prisoners from the fortress, expressing disdain for inaction while the innocent suffer. He discovers the prisoners, and learns there are more bandits than he expected and devises a plan for escape, relying on the prisoners to take charge after he creates a distraction.
