The chapter opens with the protagonist demonstrating his significantly improved physical abilities through various exercises. His brother, the Second Young Master, arrives and mocks him, accusing him of faking a change and attempting suicide again. The protagonist, undeterred, decides to engage in a fight with his brother using a stick, challenging him to touch him with it.
The protagonist, after showing incredible physical improvement, confronts his brother, who doesn't believe he's changed and accuses him of trying to die again. A fight is about to ensue using a stick as a weapon.
