Synopsis

The chapter begins by introducing T, who is revealed to have broken a fundamental human law: murder. It's implied that T was observing another character grow, questioning why they hide their true nature. The chapter then shifts focus to the harsh realities of survival and human exploitation, where the weak are consumed by the strong and deaths occur for others' benefit. Finally, the chapter introduces Youngshil, and indicates how human progress indirectly led to Youngshil getting sick, which T regrets, highlighting the negative consequences of human actions on others.
