Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist being presented with an agreement for research, which he willingly signs. The researchers then proceed to take blood samples and perform internal scans using a hose-like device. Despite some ambiguous expectations about special results, the tests come back showing that the protagonist is, surprisingly, just a normal human. The researchers conclude that there's nothing unique about him and wonder if his current state is connected to his memory loss.
