Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist reflecting on his inability to use mana despite leveling up and pondering the impressive abilities of the Empress. A pack of high-level monsters appears, indicating the cataclysm's unusual effects, and the protagonist realizes the world is not normal. He's more interested in maintaining his freedom and meeting the Empress than joining the government's new unit for powered individuals, despite their attempts to recruit people with special abilities.
