Synopsis

The chapter opens with an assassination attempt on the protagonist, who was targeted due to either vengeance or mistaken identity. He's saved by an ally who then goes to great lengths to eliminate all traces of the assassin, even setting a fire in the medical tents. The main character returns to his squad and finds them in chaos and hears of a rumor that their base is cursed, while dealing with a recurring conflict with other squad members.
