Synopsis

The chapter begins by showcasing the political ramifications of deploying knights despite a prior agreement, using the actions of a 'Frog General' as justification. The focus then shifts to the awarding of soldiers, specifically a squad leader deemed useless who surprisingly broke an enemy spell, much to the disbelief of those around him. The squad leader then plans to use his reward to acquire a superior weapon and aims to pass the knight promotion exam. Finally, a separate character analyzes the squad leader's fighting style, identifying elements of multiple sword techniques.
