Synopsis

The captives learn they aren't being freed but are instead being sent as fodder for an upcoming war, sparking outrage and despair. A character is confronted about their unethical experiments, but justifies them as necessary for survival. He then proposes a plan to evolve using the 'down gems' they've been forced to collect, aiming to use the war's chaos to escape the dangerous underground lair where giant spiders roam. He distributes moss balls with diluted down gems for the captives to ingest and slowly increase tolerance.
