Synopsis

Captured humans in an underground realm are forced to work by giant spiders, discovering strange 'Down Gems' that seem to grant power. The protagonist begins experimenting with these gems on himself and other prisoners, finding that they enhance strength but at the cost of emotional control and physical side effects. Through these experiments and observations of monsters, they realize the gems are likely the source of their power and the main character decides to use their gained knowledge to find a way to warn the surface.
