Synopsis

A parasite explains that they are remnants of a 'King' and their original mission was to strengthen their hosts into a new King, a goal they have largely abandoned for personal growth and experiences. The parasite warns the protagonist that the 'Prototype' within him is the original 'evil King' and using its power will cause the protagonist to lose himself. A Horned Rat on watch duty senses a rapidly approaching powerful threat at the chapter's end.
