Synopsis

The chapter establishes that the land of Sissuc is in a dire state due to the Lord, Count Bresia, purchasing the territory but failing to establish defenses, causing an influx of monsters and pirates. As a result, mercenaries are in high demand and the chapter showcases a group of three characters, Raven, Elkin, and Sol, joining a group of mercenaries, including Jonathan, Gus, and Scylla, who have also come to Sissuc to work for the Lord. The group dynamics and a bit of the world's history and politics is presented through the introduction of the main characters and other mercs.
