Synopsis

This chapter sees the Pendragon Duke taking on the role of governor of Leus and declaring his intent to settle a score with a 'white worm bastard.' A character then reminisces about the Duke's past changes, specifically how his actions after an incident and his return from Sissuc drastically changed him. These changes then inspired the character to break away from an arranged marriage, instead choosing to live for her own sake and admiring his leadership. The chapter ends with a focus on the Duke's inspiring words and actions.
