Lenoch, now trapped in a factory-like setting, uses a combination of a mana-infused strengthening liquid (Viper) and an induced fever to appear near death, hoping to be left unattended. His plan is partially successful as the others assume he's dying and thus leave him alone, allowing him to plot an escape on the day of a planned Union visit when security will be lax. He also learns that the factory produces a product for the 'Black Mage' which further hints at this world's magical system.
The protagonist, Lenoch, uses a fever-like state and a body enhancer (Viper) to appear weak and thus be left alone to plan his escape; he learns of an upcoming Union visit, which might create an opportunity.
