Synopsis

The chapter sees the group reaching the Red Canyon, with Pepper using his senses to track down an earth spirit, essential for accessing the underworld. They encounter a Tower Master who recognizes Russell's unique mana and the spirit contract he's made, revealing that a spirit is needed to navigate to the underworld since traditional methods are impossible. Furthermore the Tower Master is concerned about a former associate's disciple being in the Red Canyon and potentially interfering with their plans. The chapter ends with them approaching the canyon, sensing a mysterious power emanating from the rocks.
