Synopsis

The chapter details the protagonist's past as an expelled mage student due to a mana vein narrowing, considered "trash" by some. He now works a mundane job, but his internal monologue reveals that he still holds onto his ambition to become a mage. The narrative shifts to a surreal, dreamlike reality where he is questioned, then seems to recall his past and acceptance of his situation.
