Synopsis

The chapter opens with judges from the White, Yellow, Spear, and Flame towers arriving to choose students for special training. There's discussion about fairness and the selection process. A student successfully completes a spirit contract, overcoming a mental block, and forms a bond with a spirit they name Pepper, receiving a notification and intermediate-grade mana stone. This is followed by the promise of special training including spirit lessons.
