Kaymond, a struggling apprentice healer, is burdened with cleaning duties and wishes for a better future. He gets a skill upgrade, but a patient's critical condition reveals the limitations of his current healing abilities. After being mocked by senior healers, he is tasked with a difficult quest to heal a patient. He then becomes more diligent in taking care of the patients, and starts to actually improve his skill by treating the simpler cases and cleaning, earning a skill point in the process.
