Synopsis

The chapter begins with a noble administrator, Rao Kaplan, expressing disdain for Raymond due to his illegitimate birth and healer status, but decides to observe him fairly before judging. Meanwhile, Raymond is surprisingly elevated to Baronet by the King for his efforts in the Bay Region, a reward he didn't expect. In a parallel storyline, a group of conspirators plots to undermine the kingdom. The chapter concludes with the reveal of a new administrator, Rao Kaplan, being assigned to the Bay Region and ordered to cooperate with Raymond, setting the stage for future conflict.
