Synopsis

The chapter starts with a flashback to the siblings' childhood, showcasing their innocent interactions and their growing awareness of their mother's declining health due to an allergy to peaches. This leads to a dramatic shift when their mother attempts suicide by poison and tries to force one of her children to die with her. Ultimately, the siblings forge a pact to survive together, with the promise that they will become a force capable of challenging the palace and that if the sister does not like their actions, she should cut them down and take the throne herself.
