Synopsis

The chapter opens with characters recovering from capture by a finned demon, and then shifts to an ancient entity inhabiting the body of a human warrior. This entity explains that the "finned memories" are crucial for evolution, and that the warrior needs to devour demons to access them. The entity is manipulating the human warrior to awaken the strongest powers within him, aiming for a powerful awakening and the reaching of an eighth fin, while the others are shown as weaker. One character finally regains some memories and calls out to the main character at the end of the chapter, suggesting a change in the status quo.
