Synopsis

Penelope is summoned to a luncheon with her family, something she hasn't experienced since her 'probation' began. She recognizes that her food is deliberately prepared poorly and concludes that this mistreatment has been going on unnoticed for some time. Despite recognizing this, she is not deterred and begins to plan to take action. The chapter ends with the family discussion turning to a hunting competition.
