Synopsis

The chapter unveils that the forces the protagonist has encountered are not under the Sultan's command but are instead working for Amelia Merwin. The labyrinth they are in was created to accelerate desertification and was expanded six years ago around the time the protagonist got Hamel’s artifact. They discover a sealed gate deep underground, and conclude that Amelia Merwin's 'real' dungeon is elsewhere and they are on a collision course with her regardless of their actions. The protagonist decides to face Amelia Merwin head on, and is aided by a loyal retainer.
