Synopsis

This chapter focuses on Eugene's unexpected meeting with the Dark Magic Tower Master, who despite Eugene's initial dislike for dark mages, offers him a recommendation for Acryon as well as a unicorn heart. The Master explains he is doing this partly for his own self-interest, hoping to gain good will. Eugene reluctantly accepts both offers, and internally resolves to push his training to become even stronger and get a full understanding of magic. The chapter ends with Eugene making a deal to rescue some people, and the promise of the testicles from a giant.
