Synopsis

The chapter opens with a meeting between a Steel Will Fortress squad captain and a member of the Beast Palace, where a valuable item called the Jade of Calamity is exchanged. Afterwards, the squad is ambushed by the Demon Cult, resulting in casualties on the cult's side but some minor injuries to the squad. Following this, a separate group investigates the scene of the attack and finds it suspiciously sloppy, concluding that the enemy must be hiding and sends out a message to their branch. The chapter ends with a young master from the investigating group giving advice and then taking off on his own, suspecting something deeper.
