The chapter opens with the Fourth Young Lord, Hong Euimoon, challenging the Third to a fight, initially underestimating him. Euimoon uses a poisoned nail attack, but the Third is able to nullify it and demonstrates a previously unseen level of demonic power, leaving Euimoon and his guard in terror. Later, it is revealed that the Fourth Young Lord is using poison insects on the Third's maidservant in order to force her to betray him and weaken the Third for a succession battle. The chapter concludes with an attack on the Third's residence.
The Third Young Lord is confronted by the Fourth, leading to a fight where the Fourth attempts to poison him. The Third reveals a new level of power and later discovers a plot against him.
