Synopsis

The chapter focuses on the Jineman family's history and their treasured Winterbottom Kit, comprised of the sword Winterer and the armor Snowguard. It's revealed that Boris's father foresaw a rebellion led by their uncle and instructed Boris to prioritize surviving and protecting the kit. Boris reminisces about his brother's attachment to Winterer and the family's complex internal conflict which sets up the tragic choice he must face with the rebellion about to break out.
