Synopsis

The chapter begins with a monologue emphasizing self-preservation and value. Boris is told to prioritize his own safety and well-being above all else. Then, Boris and another character encounter the infamous Lekordable Mercenary Corps, led by Commander Deraki. They are forced to either pay double the money from a previous deal that went bad or work for the corps and they end up in a situation that commits them to a dangerous mission to fulfill a contract for fifty people. The chapter ends with a sense of impending trouble.
