Synopsis

The chapter introduces a team of hunters, including two new recruits from the Node guild, Seonghoo and Eunjeong. They are tasked with protecting the barrier of a major city, Gwangmyeong, which is weakened due to the failing health of the metahuman maintaining it. Before they are formally deployed, their guide detects a hobgoblin horde heading towards them and they begin to maneuver towards a bridge to control their path, while tensions rise due to the high stakes and strict rules of the Node guild. The city offers citizenship as a reward for this dangerous assignment, highlighting their desperation.
