Synopsis

The chapter begins with the group realizing they are on a Node transport ship heading for the dangerous Jeju Island. One character, after a near-death experience, suddenly develops the unique Demonic Beast Domination ability, allowing him to hear and influence the thoughts of demonic beasts. He then receives a crash course on his new powers, and is ultimately invited to train at the Node headquarters, but is faced with the potential to be exposed to more danger. Another character is puzzled by the new metahuman's ability and considers it a mystery, and is reminded of someone from the past.
