Synopsis

The chapter opens with the return of Duke Beowulf, whose powerful domain expansion, 'Eternal Frost,' freezes enemies while safeguarding allies. He swiftly neutralizes the immediate barbarian threat, but learns that the invasion was a larger issue that required aid from someone named Yan. Yan, who was supposed to be introduced to Beowulf, mysteriously vanishes as the chapter progresses, leading to suspicion and concern. Elsewhere, a different character, exhausted from the battles, tries to rest but is suddenly being pulled away by Yan, who appeared out of nowhere. The chapter ends with the revelation of the growing panic across the empire due to the barbarian invasion.
