Synopsis

The chapter begins with mercenaries revealing their betrayal of Fillion's group. They capture the young prince and demand answers. Fillion attempts to negotiate, offering to take responsibility for the 'broken oath,' which has resulted in the deaths of some mercenaries. Ultimately, Fillion allows the mercenaries to inflict a painful injury on him and uses the situation to convince the group to act as royal escorts, in order to survive the conflict.
