Synopsis

The chapter opens with the protagonist being injured but seemingly resilient, followed by his side struggling against a superior force and a desperate plan to kill the enemy leader, Count Degleton. The main character sees an opening to target the count, and successfully hits him with an arrow. Upon realizing the battle is lost, the opposing side attempts to recruit the protagonist who refuses and attempts to press the attack.
