Synopsis

The chapter opens with the mercenary team discussing their financial situation, realizing how much they depended on their previous accountant. They then receive offers from two warring lords, Count Mollando and Count Degleton, for their services. After some debate about the reliability of the offers, the mercenaries ultimately choose to side with Count Degleton, whose offer is twice as high, despite the higher risk.
