Synopsis

A mysterious character reveals to the main character's mentor that the current colosseum owner killed the previous owner, Torah, to gain control. The mentor, seeking a favor, decides to put the main character in a match, threatening to have him crushed. A bargain is struck where a hidden safe belonging to Torah is offered in exchange. The chapter ends with the main character entering the arena, facing a heavily modified opponent, while being reminded of a core combat principle.
