Synopsis

The chapter features discussions about exposing corruption within a powerful family, and how they must do it internally since they are too powerful to be challenged from outside. The protagonist is given the task of investigating a "sewer rat" figure, and is also introduced to members of a dark guild, Taliah, whom his father seems to be pushing on him. The main character later receives an emblem of some kind as a “surprise gift” and sets out on his next quest, with a mention of the family’s history with Kelibos and a past romantic connection to the protagonist's mother.
