Synopsis

The chapter begins with the protagonist meeting a being that identifies itself as a fragment of the god Asar. This being, called Lord Mikhail, reveals the world tree is dying and a demon army is growing but his warnings are ignored by his 'children'. He explains that he cannot directly communicate with them and asks the protagonist to figure out why. Additionally, Mikhail shares a cryptic prophecy about the god having two children, one attainable and one lost, suggesting that things are not going to go his way.
