Synopsis

The chapter opens with flashbacks and exposition, revealing the events leading to the current state of the World Tree, which is poisoned by remnants of a Demon God. The protagonist is revealed to have a unique ability to connect with the tree and a record of events that helps with understanding the problem. The World Tree's sister also joins the scene and encourages the protagonist. The protagonist proposes a solution and demands a powerful branch of the tree in advance to solve not only the tree's problem, but also a related issue of his own.
