Synopsis

The chapter focuses on a confrontation between the protagonist and Viscount Nostra, the protagonist's former mentor. The protagonist explains he had to 'forget' Nostra's prior teaching and restart his understanding of magic which resulted in him developing complex, layered magic spells that should be above his current level. Nostra and the protagonist's father have a discussion about the duel as the protagonist sets to show a new mastery of magic with a temporary debuff placed on his mentor as the chapter ends with the beginning of their duel, where the protagonist immediately showcases his unexpected power.
